Gamberini 1907 Museum of Antiques invites you to visit the room “The history of the museum and the museum in history, ” which recounts the transformation that has taken the Museum with the passage of time to adapt to the needs of Colombian society. This began as a natural history research site and later became a “civilizing museum” ━which functioned as a pedagogical tool for citizens━. Later, its mission was to exhibit simple machinery and textile pieces produced in Colombia and today it is conceived as a place of art, history, archeology, and ethnography that presents a more inclusive and diverse account of the nation.
